The process
My Story
My journey to the design and production of jewelry was the interplay of passion, opportunities and life ambitions.
Since I was a child, I have been a creative creature who enjoys discovering the world, and has always had an eye for fashion. The result was a successful master degree study at The Institute of Hospitality Management in Prague, combining trips around the world as a fashion model, fashion showrooms seller as well as a "backpacker".
During my travels, I began to focus on small, minimalist jewelry that would underline the natural feminine beauty, but would not kill it. Crucial was one of my fashion trips to NYC where I spent a week with the lovely manager of an amazing Danish brand, Maria Black Jewelry. In general Scandinavian design is my biggest cup of tea in matter of influence.
I learned to make my own jewelry during a one-year metal jewelry course at School of St. Michal in Prague 1 and another jewelry course in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
For three years in a row already as a fresh mom, I joined a studio/jewelry shop Malie Jewelry in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica by the beloved ocean.
In november 2022 I have opened my own “Moods by Silvie” studio/shop/showroom in centre of Santa Teresa.
In April 2024 Ive moved for family reasons back to Czech Republic and still keeping connected with Costarica.
